Silk Road Organization (SRO) is a non-political, non-governmental, and non-profit organization established in Aleppo, Syria, in November 2015, and officially registered in Gaziantep, Türkiye, in 2016.

The organization works to develop creative and sustainable solutions to the ongoing challenges faced by people affected by conflict in Syria and Türkiye. It aims to support vulnerable and marginalized individuals and communities, helping them overcome poverty and hardship more effectively — guided by the principles of inclusiveness, respect for all contributions, and adherence to the highest ethical and professional standards.

Silk Road Organization focuses on supporting vulnerable groups through the implementation of projects in the following sectors:
Education, Protection, Shelter and Non-Food Items (S-NFI), Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), and Early Recovery and Livelihoods (ERL).

All activities of Silk Road Organization are guided by the four humanitarian principles: humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence. These principles form the foundation that governs all organizational actions and the behavior of its humanitarian staff.

Our Goals

1. Enhancing the capacity of local communities and civil society to address the most urgent vulnerabilities.
The organization is committed to strengthening the ability of individuals and community actors to respond effectively to the pressing challenges faced by local communities.

2. Promoting respect for diversity and human dignity while reducing intolerance, discrimination, and social exclusion.
Silk Road Organization believes that cultural and social diversity are key pillars for building a cohesive and inclusive society.

3. Fostering human development and strengthening the role of women across all sectors.
The organization seeks to empower women by developing their skills and enabling them to play an active and influential role in their communities, fostering a spirit of contribution, dedication, and community service.
