Project Duration:
Start Date: 01 December 2018
End Date: 31 January 2019
Target Location:
Harim, Al-Dana, Maaret Misrin, and Ariha areas in Idlib countryside, covering 10 villages.
Beneficiaries:
1,139 internally displaced families benefited from this project.
Overall Objective:
The Silk Road Organization aimed to increase access to essential non-food items and contribute to improving the living conditions of internally displaced families, helping them cope with the harsh cold weather and severe winter conditions. The project sought to ensure that families — particularly women and children — have access to the basic materials needed to stay warm and safe during winter.
Main Activities:
Under this project, 1,139 complete non-food item (NFI) kits were distributed, including blankets, mattresses, hygiene kits, and insulation materials.
In addition, 6,834 full winter clothing sets were distributed, containing wool sweaters, winter shoes, and head coverings, to help protect families from the cold.
